Mario Götz from the Treibholz guitar manufacture produces guitars in traditional handcraft. Beautiful and unique instruments for stage and studio are the result. Mario's wish was a two-piece pickup set with a puristic design and the sound diversity of a humbucker single-coil combination. A Hot PAF takes care of the distortion department. That humbucker provides fat, yet transparent rhythm and lead sounds across all gain levels. In the neck position a Cayenne (P90) is responsible for the clean and crunch sounds. The middle position sounds pretty crunchy and delivers a good portion of "twang". Both pickups are manufactured by me "in one cast" and are therefore perfectly matched to each other. For fans of split wirings the bridge pickup was built with four wires, which allows for even more sound variation and results in hum cancelling in the middle position.
