    The NOwaxx AlNiCo9 sound aligns between a classic PAF (with an AlNiCo5 magnet) and a modern Distortion pickup (ceramic magnet). The name of the game is: "transparent but loud". The mids sound "rounder" than with a humbucker with a ceramic magnet und yet the pickup delivers a higher output than a normal PAF humbucker.
